Job Desciption:

 

We have a requirement for a Civil Field Supervisor for our client, Phillips 66, based near Immingham, North East Lincolnshire.  This is a full time, PAYE contract position for an initial12 month period, to be re-assessed thereafter.  Working 38 hours per week, with overtime as and when required (especially during turnaround periods). The role offers a n excellent working environment for the successful candidate.

 

Basic Function

 

Accountable, in the field, for ensuring correct installation and commissioning of relevant equipment for  Projects, Maintenance, Tank Team & Fabric Maintenance.

 

Primary Role

 

·        Resource for support to the Refinery

·        Management of discipline (predominately civil / structural) contractors

·        Assist in production of specifications

·        Supervise field work to ensure correct installation and commissioning

·        Responsible for contractor safety out on site

·        Prioritise field activities to ensure effective use of contractors

·        Resolve field conflicts in timely manner

·        Track progress of works against weekly P66 plan

·        Financial awareness of all scopes and tender awards

·        Timely sign-off of presented day work sheets and raising of SI’s.

·        Review & Approve Permit Documentation.

 

Responsibilities

 

·        Reporting back up to management any refinery issues.

·        Sign off and approval of work ahead of commissioning

·        Ensure all specs are current and contain all correct and necessary clauses.

·        Understand the scopes and ensure full close-out of all discipline activities, know your project inside-out.

·        Manage contractors’ safety out in the field

·        Review plans weekly and daily and respond to current refinery /project needs

·        Get to the root cause and make decision with communication why.

·        Communicate back updates and raise early warnings immediately where planned works are at risk.

·        Ensure contract control is adhered to within the group, Tender return clarity, SI & DW early resolution and final close-out.

·        Make sure contractor supplies day work sheets by end of working week. Review and challenge where necessary before sign-off. Ensure copies are sent over to Newton.  Raising of SI’s as soon as they are required and provide suitable wording for auditing capabilities.

·        Ensure a robust review is held over all paperwork to be submitted for a permit.   Ensure it is easily understood and be confident in your sign-off.

 

 

About Phillips 66 Humber Refinery

The Humber Refinery is one of the most energy efficient refineries in Europe and is leading the way in lower-carbon fuels production. Phillips 66 Humber Refinery was the first in the UK to produce high-performing, advanced second-generation biofuels, at scale, from waste - when Used Cooking Oil (UCO) was introduced to its refining processes in 2017.

 

In 2020, Phillips 66 Limited invested significantly trebling this capacity, with the addition of a new lower carbon fuel module. One of the most exciting opportunities for the Humber Refinery lies in the electric vehicle revolution.

 

One of the products produced by the refinery is high-grade petroleum coke, a carbon-rich residue that remains when other, lighter materials are refined from crude oil. Petroleum coke from the Humber Refinery already has a vital role in supporting advanced manufacturing in the steel recycling and aluminium smelting industries, but now through its unique coke formulations, is also being used across the globe in smart phone and electric vehicle batteries.

 

The Humber Refinery's role in the electric vehicle battery market was recognised in the UK Government, Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy.

 

Since March 2021 Phillips 66 Limited is working with several partners on a number of decarbonisation projects to support the Humber region to meet the UK Government's target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
