We are seeking a Weight Engineer on a range of projects for an initial 6 month contract role that has an immediate start and a target limited company rate to man of circa £60.00 per hour.

The role will be 5 days a week based in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment

Duties

• As Weight Engineer, you will be responsible for weight & COG management for major offshore and onshore projects associated with oil & gas industry working to a defined budget and program.

• The work involves utilising industry knowledge and benchmarking tools to compile weight and COG estimates.

• The work will involve liaising with other disciplines at all levels, client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.  

• Occasional travel to support and audit Global Projects and witness weighing is to be expected.

Requirements/Experience

• Must have experience of weight & COG management in the oil and gas industry.

• Needs to be able to communicate effectively at all levels, especially in a multi-discipline project environment, with good potential to develop strong leadership skills.

• Effective user of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word, also good knowledge of databases and design tools (PDMS, AutoCAD, etc) is essential.

• Preferably degree qualified with a minimum of 7 years related experience or can demonstrate equitable experience gained in a multi discipline environment in a supervisory role.
