Job Description

The P6 Planning & Scheduling Coordinator (Lindsey) Provides Primavera P6 planning and scheduling materials to enable safe, efficient execution of the Tank Maintenance Outage Programme and Decommissioning activities at Lindsey, including integrating workstreams that may operate on separate P6 schedules and supporting schedule control (lookaheads, progress tracking, and interface alignment).

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, Maintain and coordinate P6 schedules for Tank Team & Decommissioning works and also coordinate plans where other programs may operate on a separate P6 schedule, ensuring interfaces and cross‑workstream dependencies are visible and managed.

• Support tank outage scheduling by enabling work packaging and sequencing in P6, consistent with documented approaches where work packages are prepared, progressed to an “approved” state, then exported/imported into P6 for sequencing.

• Coordinate outage schedule readiness deliverables where P6 is the schedule of record (examples of required deliverables include shutdown and startup schedules in P6 and related planning outputs).

• Support the decommissioning programme by enabling schedule planning and day to day schedule control for decommissioning execution, aligned with decommissioning leadership accountability for overall planning, scheduling and execution and maintaining the decommissioning plan.

• Support field execution alignment by providing schedule visibility that enables field coordination expectations described for decommissioning execution roles (e.g., coordination, prioritising, timely execution, and planning/scheduling expertise)

• Produce and Track progress against the plan and support workstream reporting using practices consistent with tracking progress against weekly P6 plans and ensuring work is progressed through to completion / close out.

• Enable schedule integration steps used in refinery execution planning where procedures/timelines are drafted in project tools and converted to P6 scheduling software to integrate with broader schedules.

• Coordinate the handshake between work packaging outputs and the P6 schedule, consistent with established practice where job plans/work packages are assembled, validated through review gates, then moved into P6 for sequencing and execution control

Education Requirements/Key Skills

• Working/expert knowledge of Primavera software and planning-to-scheduling workflow where job packages are developed and then imported/exported into Primavera (P6) for sequencing and execution control.

• Ability to maintain schedule deliverables and integration for shutdown/startup and decontamination planning where P6 is the schedule tool referenced for integration.

Providing Energy. Improving Lives.

The Humber Refinery is playing its part of the UK’s decarbonisation efforts.

As a part of the UK Government’s net zero ambition, the Humber Refinery is on a journey to become the Refinery of the Future. With proposed plans for a number of projects including to implement a first-of-a-kind FCC carbon capture project, the Humber Refinery is part of Humber Zero, a world-scale concept to reduce UK industry carbon emissions, saving up to 8 million tonnes of CO2 by 2030 from the Immingham industrial area.

On top of this, the Humber Refinery is the UK’s only refiner producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel at scale. It is also the only European facility producing battery anode coke, which forms a critical component for lithium-ion batteries used in electrical vehicles and in consumer electronics. Our current production of battery anode coke is equivalent to placing 1.3 million EVs on the road every year, and we are developing multiple projects to expand this capability.

We are on an exciting journey, are you ready to join us?
